Job DescriptionTitle - Business Unit Controller
Location - Gurgaon
- Transparency and Utmost ethical standards.- Daily cash management, monthly bank reconciliations.
- Supervise/perform all aspects of monthly accounting close and annual audit preparation/execution.
- Preparation/review of financial reports, including:
1. Weekly cash flow forecasts
2. Monthly flash results report and mid-month results forecast
3. Monthly financial statements & analysis
4. Monthly general ledger account reconciliations
5. Quarterly income statement, balance sheet & cash flow forecasts
6. Annual income statement, balance sheet & cash flow budgets
7. Annual support schedules for year-end audi

- Provide recommendations to operations management re. pricing, expense controls, trend analysis, etc.

- Supervise disbursement of funds per Company policies (including all outgoing wire transfers)

- Assure fixed asset physical control and accounting

- Enforce Company policy re. extension of credit and supervise collections activities
- Audit employees’ travel expense reports for completeness and accuracy
- Monitor accounting systems and procedures for compliance with Worldwide Accounting Policies Manual
- Manage accounting and reporting systems and payroll system
- Assemble/review all requests for capital expenditures (including C.A.R. and backup justification) prior to submittal to CFO
- Serve as primary contact for banking relationship
- Monitor working capital levels and suggest corrective actions
- Maintain intercompany accounting confirmations/reconciliations and transfer pricing compliance
- Work with corporate internal auditor to address any control concerns and suggested improvements
- Keep abreast of current trends, practices and developments in the accounting profession; make recommendations for implementation/improvement of Company processes
- Serve as primary contact re. business insurance
- Assume other special activities and responsibilities as directed (including acquisition analysis, coordination with outside legal services, interaction with Human Resources and Information Technology functions)
Desired Candidate Profile•Educational Qualification:
- Chartered Accountant
- Must be knowledgeable in use of computer hardware and have skill level required to use software currently in use by department, including, but not limited to, Oracle Financials (GL, AR, AP, FA, PO, I-Expense), Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
•Experience: Minimum o f 6-8years’ experience managing all areas of general accounting, including financial statements, general ledger, receivables, payables and fixed assets
